VEUS – ‘Cor Infantil d’Amics de la Unió de Granollers’ has returned from Japan after a tour full of successes that has left us very happy and excited. During our participation in the Tokyo International Choir Competition, we were awarded the prize for the best interpretation of the obligatory Japanese song , a recognition that highlights the effort and dedication we have put into this experience.

In addition to this award, we also obtained third place in the Children’s Choirs category , competing with highly prestigious groups such as the Hata Boys & Girls Choir, the Campanella Olomuc and the Iszu JR High School Choral Club. “We are very happy and proud to have achieved these recognitions in such a high-level international competition.”

After the competition, we had the opportunity to get to know the city of Tokyo better for two days, delving into its culture and history. Our tour continued in Sakura City , where we shared very special moments with the Sakura Junior Choir, participating in concerts and workshops that allowed us to get even closer to Japanese culture. This stage culminated with a joint concert that was one of the most emotional moments of the trip.

Our adventure continued in Handa City , where we collaborated with the Handa Boys and Girls Chorus. We also visited Hamamatsu City, Sanda City and Ikeda City , establishing musical and cultural ties with the local choirs, which were very enriching experiences.

The final point of our trip was in Koyasan, where we participated in the Koyasan International Children Festival from August 9 to 12, thus closing a tour that, beyond the awards, has left us with memories and learnings that we will always keep.

We return home with the satisfaction of having represented our music and culture on a prestigious international stage.
